THE Frankie & Benny's restaurant in Ellesmere Port will reopen its doors next month, the chain has confirmed.

The eatery based at the Coliseum Leisure Park will welcome back diners from August 13.

It will also begin operating a takeaway service with click and collect or delivery options from August 10.

The chain says it will have numerous coronavirus safety measures in place with guests asked to book a table in advance.

Parent company The Restaurant Group had announced last month that 125 of its Frankie & Benny's sites across the UK would close permanently, putting 3,000 jobs at risk.

However, it confirmed last week that the Ellesmere Port premises would not be one of those facing the axe.

A spokesperson at Frankie & Benny's said: "We are delighted to confirm this site will be reopening in due course for our guests."

The Broughton Retail Park branch is also set to reopen its doors from August 20.

Chester's Greyhound Retail Park restaurant has already closed for good.
