THE Hospice of the Good Shepherd is reopening its Ellesmere Port store this week.

The Sutton Way premises will reopen its doors from 10am on Thursday, July 16.

For the time being, the hospice's Chester and Neston shops will remain temporarily closed.

A number of coronavirus safety measures have been put in place ahead of the Ellesmere Port store's reopening.

This includes:

  • Ensuring all donations of stock are quarantined for 72 hours before they are placed on sale.
  • Managing the number of people who are in the shop at any one time and operating a one-way system.
  • Providing hand sanitiser for use within the shop.
  • Having Perspex screens at the till point.

The hospice said: "The health and safety of our staff, volunteers and customers is paramount and we will be following all Charity Retail Association guidelines."

It adds that it is unable to accept donations of stock at any of its stores at the moment but can arrange collection from homes.
