AN appeal has been launched to trace the Ellesmere Port based relatives of a man who recently passed away in the West Midlands.

City of Wolverhampton Council says they are attempting to track down family members of 78-year-old Ronald Ward so his funeral can be arranged.

The authority believes he has relatives in the Ellesmere Port area.

"Mr Ward, who passed away recently at the age of 78, lived in the Wednesfield area of Wolverhampton. It is also thought he had relatives in the Ellesmere Port area.

"Anyone who is related to Mr Ward, or has any information which may help trace his relatives, is asked to call Protection and Funerals Officer Diane Doré on 07919 626117 or email her via diane.dore@wolverhampton.gov.uk as soon as possible."
