RESIDENTS are being urged not to give their information to fraudsters as part of an ongoing email scam.
Flintshire Trading Standards shared the warning this week, following reports of people receiving emails purporting to come from Netflix.
A spokesman explained: "The e-mail states 'Dear (Email Address), we're having some trouble with your current billing information. Would you like to retry running your card again?'
"There are then two options below for you to click on - 'Retry Payment' [and] 'Enter New Payment Method'.
"Do not click on either of these options, delete the email it is a scam

"If you wish to check if there is an issue with your subscription to Netflix go to Netflix on line, log in and go to your account details and check if your payments are going out."
An Action Fraud spokesman added: "Have you received one of these emails asking you to update your Netflix account details?
"Don't take the bait! The emails are FAKE and the links lead to genuine-looking sites that are designed to steal your Netflix password, personal + financial information."
