TWO people were taken to hospital following a deep fat fryer blaze at a house in Frodsham.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service was called out to the incident at 8.40pm on Wednesday, July 1.
One fire engine from Frodsham and two from Runcorn were deployed to the scene in Fluin Lane.
Crews used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel and a fire blanket to put out the fire in the kitchen.
They then used a thermal imaging camera to check for hotspots and a large fan to disperse the smoke.
A spokesperson said two casualties suffering smoke inhalation were assessed by paramedics and transported to hospital for precautionary checks.
Crews remained on the scene for one hour and 34 minutes.
