A 58-year-old man from Cheshire has been charged with a racially aggravated public order offence.
Lawrence Ogburn was arrested at his home in Chester Street, Widnes at about 6pm on Monday, May 11.
The offence he has been charged with relates to an incident at a convenience store on Lower Appleton Road in the town.
The incident occurred at about 1pm on Saturday, May 2.
Ogburn is set to appear at Warrington Magistrates’ Court on Friday, July 3.
