A PUB in Frodsham has been saved from closure after a rescue deal was struck.

The business and assets of 16 Hospitality Limited, which owned the Old Hall Hotel on the main street, has been acquired by Flock Inns Limited.

Sarah O’Toole and Jason Bell from Grant Thornton UK LLP were appointed joint administrators for 16 Hospitality Limited back in April. The pub group also operated the White Eagle and Oystercatcher on Anglesey and The Partridge in Stretton, Cheshire.

The rescue deal has preserved nearly 100 jobs.

Advisory partner at Grant Thornton Sarah O’Toole said: "The impact of COVID-19 on this sector has been significant and therefore we are delighted to have achieved a sale which preserves almost 100 jobs.

"We wish the purchaser every success as they take the business forward."
