THE Countess of Chester Hospital Trust has confirmed that nearly 350 patients have recovered after testing positive for coronavirus.
The Standard can reveal that the trust – which covers both the Chester and Ellesmere Port hospital sites – has discharged 43 people since the last update two weeks ago.
That takes the total number of patients who have been discharged after recovering from the virus since the start of April to 349.
The latest discharge figure comes after the trust reported no additional coronavirus deaths for the second day running.
NHS England data shows that, as of 5pm yesterday, the total number of deaths registered by the trust is 195.
