TWO men are believed to be behind an overnight arson attack on a car in Ellesmere Port.

Police are now appealing to anyone who may have seen the males or have information about the incident to come forward.

The silver Vauxhall Corsa was torched on Hillfield Road, Little Sutton, at around 1am on Wednesday, June 10.

The owner of the vehicle, who does not wish to be named, shared a number of images with The Standard showing the extent of the damage caused by the blaze in the hope someone may come forward with information.

In a statement, Cheshire Police said: "At around 1am on Wednesday 10 June two male offenders are believed to have walked up to a car on Hillfield Road and set the vehicle alight.

"They then fled the scene. The fire caused extensive damage to the car before being extinguished by firefighters.

"Thankfully, no-one was injured during the incident.

"Enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing and officers are urging anyone who may have seen two males in the area between 12:30am and 12:45am to get in touch."
