A CAR in Ellesmere Port is believed to have been torched in an arson attack in the early hours of this morning (June 10).

Firefighters were called to the blaze on Hillfield Road, Little Sutton, at 12.44am and found the vehicle well alight.

One member of the crew wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to extinguish the flames.

Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service believe the fire was started deliberately and are asking anyone with information to call Cheshire Police on 101, quoting IML 726397.

The same Ellesmere Port crew also attended a car fire on Berwick Road, Little Sutton, at 12.11am today.

On arrival the crews found one car well alight.
