CLWYD South MP Simon Baynes has congratulated organisers on the successful launch of 'Llangollen Online'.

In March, it was announced that the annual Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod had to be postponed due to the global Coronavirus pandemic.

In response and to ensure the festival’s international community of participants, performers, visitors and volunteers could stay connected, the organisers launched ‘Llangollen Online’ which is free to view and runs from June 1 until July 11.

Through the Llangollen.TV platform, audiences can watch archive footage of competitions and vote online for their favourite moment at https://llangollen.tv/.

Mr Baynes said: “The Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod is a firm fixture of our community calendar – and a much-loved international event for visitors from far and wide.

"And it was an honour and a pleasure to serve as an external Trustee of the International Eisteddfod before I became the MP for Clwyd South.

“It’s so impressive that the organisers have created this online platform as a celebration of music, song and dance from the festival.

"And it’s a wonderful way to stay in touch with all the fans who come every year and love the Eisteddfod so much.”
