SEARCH and rescue teams joined emergency services in the search for a missing man.

Dog teams from the Search and Rescue Dog Association and members of the North East Wales Search and Rescue team searched wooded areas yesterday (Tuesday, June 2).

He was not found during initial searches, but was found later outside of the areas allocated to the search and rescue teams.

The teams were asked to assist with his evacuation but were then stood down.

NEWSAR tweeted: "On Tuesday the team assisted @NWPolice in the search for a man missing in the Mostyn area.

"Initially @sardawales deployed two dog teams that were then followed up by NEWSAR team members. Despite covering several areas of dense woodland he was not located.

"Later in the day he was located out of our allocated search areas.

"We were then requested to assist with his evacuation, but in the end a Welsh Ambulance Service NHS Trust crew and police officers were able to evacuate him."
