THE driver of a Jaguar was clocked at 140mph after he overtook two police vehicles on the M56.
The car first overtook Cheshire Police officers in the "Big Blue Van" which is a regular fixture in Chester city centre at night and on race days.
The driver then passed a Cheshire and North Wales Alliance Armed Policing (AAP) car further along the carriageway.
After stopping the tonight (Sunday, May 24) AAP tweeted: "Colleagues in #BigBlueVan were just overtaken by a Jaguar at high speed in temporary 50 road works on the #M56.
"The driver didn't see #ARV sat a junc further up. Veh followed and observed in excess of 140mph and stopped. Driver summonsed."
