FIREFIGHTERS were called out to a kitchen fire in a flat in Chester.
At 9.35am today (Thursday, May 21) firefighters from Chester and Powey Lane responded to reports of a fire in a ground floor flat on Clover Lane, lache.
On arrival the crews discovered a small fire on top of a cooker.
Two firefighters, wearing breathing apparatus, used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
They then used a thermal imaging camera to check for any hotspots.
Crews were detained at the scene for about 50 minutes.
