FLY-TIPPERS have dumped a huge mound of rubbish on the side of a road in Wimbolds Trafford.

Police discovered the pile of waste just before the turning for Ince Lane yesterday (April 7) and have reported the matter to Cheshire West and Chester Council.

Cheshire Constabulary's Chester Villages Police social media account posted today: "A disappointing start to the day, I spotted this lorry load of fly tipped rubbish on my way home last night.

"I have come to investigate this morning and will report to the council. This is at Wimbolds Trafford just before turn to Ince Lane, did you see anything? Words fail me."

All household recycling centres in West Cheshire are currently shut due to the coronavirus crisis.

Cheshire West and Chester Council and its partners HM Martins made the decision based on the need for staff support elsewhere and limits in its ability to manage waste through its contractors.
