MOTORISTS within Wrexham have been urged to maintain the legal speed limits during the coronavirus pandemic.

North Wales Police took to social media today (April 7), to warn residents that even though travel restrictions are in place, which has resulted in fewer vehicles on roads, this does not give them the right to speed.

They posted: "Despite repeated messages about being on patrol due to concerns about motorists taking advantage of the quiet roads, we've clocked high speeds inc.125mph on the A483 #Wrexham.

"Straight to court you go.

"Don't put unnecessary pressure on our NHS."
