FIREFIGHTERS tackled a blaze at a farm in Mickle Trafford.
Crews were called out to the farm on Plemstall Lane at 2.23pm yesterday (April 5).
The blaze involved around 300 tonnes of hay.
Three fire engines attended the incident – one from Chester and two from Ellesmere Port.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Firefighters were called following reports of a fire at a farm in Mickle Trafford. On arrival crews discovered around 300 tons of hay well alight.
"Two hose reel jets were used to extinguish the flames. Firefighters protected surrounding structures with a hose reel jet.
"A thermal imaging camera was also used to check the temperature."
