FIREFIGHTERS were called out to tackle a hedge fire in a village on the outskirts of Chester.
One crew attended at just after 2.20pm today (Saturday, April 4) at Hallfields Road, Tarvin.
A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Firefighters from Tarporley used a hose reel jet to extinguish a hedge fire
"The crew were in attendance for approximately 30 minutes."
* TWO fire crews were called out to reports of a wheelie bin fire late last night in Ellesmere Port.
Firefighters used a hose reel jet to extinguish a wheelie bin which had been deliberately set alight on Sutton Way, just after 10pm on Friday (April 3).
The crews were at the scene for about 15 minutes.
* FIREFIGHTERS were called out to a fire involving an area of grassland in Chester
Firefighters attended to the blaze on Stanley Park Drive at about 1.30pm yesterday (Friday, April 3).
A hose reel jet was used to put out the fire.
