FIREFIGHTERS were called out to a fire involving a section of railway embankment in Chester in the early hours of this morning
Two fire crews battled the blaze for about two hours, shortly after 4am today (Saturday, April 4) in Hare Lane, Guilden Sutton.
A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Crews from Chester and Ellesmere Port attended the scene and on arrival they found fire on the embankment which was around five metres by five metres.
"Firefighters used two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire and were in attendance for around two hours."
