EMERGENCY packs for families in Chester running low on baby essentials have been prepared by an organisation.
City based baby bank, KidsBank Chester, have this week been working hard to put together the vital pack.
KidsBank, who operate mainly from Northgate Church, work by receiving donations of clothing, equipment, toiletries and nappies from local families/businesses, and, by way of referrals from health visitors, midwives and social workers, these items are then passed to families in need.
Cathy Pettingale, KidsBank Chester founder and CEO, said: “In these unprecedented times we have taken the decision to allow families to ‘self refer’ should they find themselves in need of support.
"With shops closed and movement restricted families are finding it difficult to provide children with appropriately sized clothing, this is where we can help.
"We are currently accepting donations of excellent condition children’s clothing which has been washed and ironed and put into bags labelled with age.”
Collection of donations will be arranged. contact KidsBank at info@kidsbankchester.com www.kidsbankchester.com
