FIREFIGHTERS were called out to tackle a large area of trees and shrubs that were well alight in Chester.
One fire engine attended from Chester at Sefton Road in Hoole just after 5.30pm today (Friday, March 27).
A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "On arrival the crew discovered around eight square metres of trees and shrubs well alight."
Firefighters used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire, which is believed to have been started deliberately.
Firefighters were in attendance for about 45 minutes.
