A TOTAL of 181 people in the UK who tested positive for coronavirus have died in the space of just 24 hours.
The Department of Health and Social Care revealed the latest figures shortly after 2pm today (March 27).
The number of deaths, as of 5pm yesterday, now stands at 759 – a significant rise from the 578 cases reported for the previous 24-hour period.
As of 9am today, a total of 113,777 people have been tested with 99,198 negative and 14,579 positive.
