HEALTH care workers, social care workers, NHS volunteers and other key workers will be provided with free parking at all council owned sites.
Councillor Karen Shore, deputy leader and cabinet member, environment, highways and strategic transport said: “It can’t be said enough how much we want to thank all of the NHS staff tackling Coronavirus on behalf of the whole country. In addition these key workers will also benefit from free unrestricted parking in on-street waiting and residents bays.
“The parking permits will remain in place whilst there is need for assistance to be provided to those on the frontline during the COVID-19 outbreak.”
To access this offer the council is contacting organisations to provide parking permits to be displayed in the vehicles of qualifying workers.
Organisations can also obtain permits for their key worker staff by e-mailing the council’s parking team on: parking@cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk
