A NEUROLOGICAL care specialist based on the Countess of Chester Health Park is creating 40 new jobs.

St Cyril’s Neurological Care and Rehabilitation Service, which has recently been taken over by Impression Health and Support, is a 26-bed facility.

It provides care and support for people who require specialist rehabilitation and therapy programmes as a result of neurological injury, including acquired and traumatic brain injury.

Bev McLoughlin, director of nursing at St Cyril’s, said: "This is a great opportunity to work for a new provider and create great things in this well-equipped service providing neuro-rehabilitation and long-term nursing care.

"We are looking to recruit new staff to enhance our team and become part of our specialist team.

"We have positions available for first level nurses and rehab support workers, part time, full time and bank. All new recruits will undergo full, extensive training and I hope local professionals apply."

A new state-of-the-art facility, to be known as Derby House, is also under construction to provide the same services in Liverpool.
