A NOT for profit youth event company that organises a number of events in the town throughout the year has revealed its latest line-up.

Portfest Events will kick-off 2020 with its Paws on the Port event on May 10, which will include a dog show, training classes, agility and various other activities.

On the day there will also be a barbecue, refreshments, bouncy castles, dog artists, children's rides and 100 free goodie bags, face painting, candy floss, popcorn and more than 50 dog related stalls.

The Little Sutton Community Festival will be held on June 27-28 from 11am-5pm.

A spokesman for Portfest said this year it is aimed at being the biggest yearly festival ever, incorporating the week long scarecrow competition run by PALS.

The group is also planning to stage Port Fest 2020 in Whitby Park on August 30, from 11am-5pm.

The spokesman added: "Portfest Events is a youth events company (not for profit). The purpose of our events is to offer opportunities for young people and involve them within the community. Involving young people with events can help challenge any behavioural issues and help young people look at community from a different perspective.

"We have already turned some young peoples' lives around by letting them volunteer with our events.

"We are starting a volunteer programme for young people (13-24 years) who have an interest in the events industry. We put on community events that range from Summer Festivals to Kids parties. We need adults who have an interest in the events industry or youth work, this could be helping with fundraising, marketing and promotion, youth work, refreshments and catering. This is an exciting programme and unique to Ellesmere Port. Further details email portfest20@outlook.com, call on 07871501375 or visit at: www.portfestevents.com."
