MOTORISTS have been warned of potential delays on the M56 following a collision.
North West Motorway Police confirmed shortly after 5am on Tuesday that a report had been received of a collision between junctions 14 and 12 eastbound.
In a short statement on social media, police said one vehicle had hit a barrier and another was described as having gone down an embankment.

Officers were sent to the incident, along with an ambulance.
Shortly after 6am North West Motorway Police released images from the scene, confirming nobody had been injured.
According to Traffic Wales, congestion remains in the area.
