A MAN has appeared in court accused of robbing a 71-year-old male's wallet as he walked home after a night out in Chester city centre.
Gareth Roberts, 31, of no fixed address, appeared at Chester Magistrates Court yesterday (Monday, February 24) charged with robbery following the incident on Sandy Lane at around 11pm on Friday (February 21).
He has been remanded in custody and will next appear at Chester Crown Court on Monday, March 23.
The 71-year-old man had been watching a band at The Live Rooms on Station Road when he left the venue to walk home at about 10.30pm.
