STORM Dennis has been taking its toll on Merseyrail services today (Sunday, February 16).
The rail operator has put messages out on social media that due to flooding at the railway by Bache, trains to and from Chester are being delayed as a speed restriction has been imposed.
There has been disruption also at the Hooton area, again due to flooding, as a result of heavy rain caused by Storm Dennis this weekend.
Merseyrail announced ahead of the weekend it was running a changed timetable for the Chester and Ellesmere Port lines, to allow trains extra time to make their journeys.
Elsewhere, the Chester-Shrewsbury line has been closed due to flooding on the railway, and rail operator Transport for Wales says there is a limited rail replacement service in operation.
