A FLINTSHIRE high school has been recognised for outstanding use of technology to help learners.
St David's High School in Saltney has been awarded the title of 'Google Reference School' for how it uses the corporation's equipment to improve learning experiences.
The school started using G Suite Apps, including Google Classroom, in 2016.
St David's also initially purchased 30 Chromebooks - and courtesy of their success that number has now grown to over 200.
Dave Jones, director of learning for IT and Digital Literacy, said: "We are constantly striving to offer our students the best possible teaching and learning experiences and access to technology.
"Getting Google Reference School status means we have been recognised by Google for our 'outstanding use of technology to drive learning outcomes'.
"We are the first and only high school within the GwE region (North Wales) to be awarded this recognition.
"Being a Google Reference School demonstrates that our staff and students are responsible, competent and confident users of technology and that we can now officially continue to offer support to other schools both on a local and national level.
"We believe that learning does not stop at the school gates and that G Suite gives us the tools needed to allow blended learning opportunities for all of our students."
The school says it happy to support any schools who would like to join it on its G Suite journey.
