A CHARITY night to raise money for a charity supporting victims of rape and sexual abuse will be held in Ellesmere Port next month.

The ABBA-themed night, organised by Ian Ormerod and Cathy Dand, is in aid of the Cheshire and Merseyside branch of the Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Centre (RASASC).

It will take place in the ballroom of the Whitby Sports and Social Club, Dunkirk Lane, on Friday, February 28, from 7pm.

Headlining will be an ABBA tribute band performing all of the Swedish supergroup's favourite hits, from Dancing Queen to Waterloo.

Also performing will be local band Problem Child. There will also be a disco.

RASASC (Cheshire & Merseyside) is a registered charity committed to supporting people who have been affected by rape or sexual abuse.

Ian said: "The night is for a great cause close to my heart that provides support for many people in Cheshire and Merseyside."

Tickets cost £5 and can be booked by calling 0151 2007050 or by email at debbie@whitbyclub.com
