A HANDBAG was snatched out of the hands of a person in broad daylight, police have said.

The incident occurred in Mold at about 9.05am on Wednesday (January 8).

Police say the handbag was snatched from a member of public on Tyddyn Street and are now appealing for information.

A spokesman for South Flintshire Police said: "Have you seen anyone suspicious in that area this morning?

"If you’re in the local area and you see a discarded black leather handbag, please do not touch it, instead please call 101 to report the location so it can be recovered by officers for potential forensics.

"Most importantly consider your own safety at all times and do what you can to ensure the safety of your property."
