TWO WREXHAM care homes will be able to put on more activities and events for their residents following a fundraiser.

Orchard Care Group ran an auction for two signed Welsh team football shirts, donated to Cherry Tree Care Home and Bay Tree House Care homes.

The shirts were kindly donated by Steve Williams - the vice-president of the Football Association of Wales.

They have been signed by all the stars of The Dragons - including the likes of Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale, Juventus’s Aaron Ramsey and Manchester United’s Daniel James.

There were two winning bids made for the shirts; one winner wishes to remain anonymous and the other winner was Yogesh Patel.

The funds raised will go to the resident’s comfort fund at each home and will be used for activities and planned events as chosen by the residents.
