A WOMAN has been arrested following an incident which saw armed police descend on a road near Chester Railway Station.
Police were called to the scene on Brook Street just before 7am, cordoning off the area towards the junction with Hoole Way and the station. Station Road was also cordoned off.
Officers have since arrested a woman in connection with the incident.
A Cheshire Constabulary spokesperson confirmed: "At 6.59am this morning police were called to an address in Brook Street, Chester following concerns for safety.
"On arrival a woman refused to leave the address and officers negotiated with woman.
"Station Street was closed during the incident.
"A woman has since been arrested on suspicion of false imprisonment and affray."
