A man has died following a serious collision on the A55 on New Years Eve.
The collision between a car and a HGV occurred just minutes before midnight on the eastbound carriageway near Caergeiliog on Anglesey.
Sadly, the driver of the car - a 64-year-old local male - was pronounced dead at the scene, police confirmed.
Police are now appealing for witnesses following the incident.
Sergeant Darren Newby of the Roads Policing Unit, North Wales Police, said: “The collision occurred at around 11.53pm last night (December 31), and involved a black Vauxhall Mokka car and a heavy goods vehicle. Both vehicles were in the eastbound lane.
“We are looking for information from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or may have information on the nature of the driving of the black Vauxhall Mokka involved prior to the collision, or who may have dashcam footage.
“If you have any information, please contact North Wales Police on 101 quoting incident number X188098.”
