FIREFIGHTERS were called to 10 blazes across Wrexham in the early hours of New Years Day.
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service said crews were called to a car fire on Rhosddu Road and a number of wheelie bin fires overnight across the town.
The first call came in at 2.45am and the last at 4.44am, a spokesman for the service said.
A resident of King Street in Wrexham told the Leader a number of bin fires took place on the street throughout the night, and praised the fire service personnel for their efforts.
