POLICE are appealing for witnesses after three men posed as builders in the Delamere area.
On Sunday morning, three men visited a static caravan park in Delamere claiming to do building work.
Money was handed over by one of the residents before the three men left claiming they would return to do the work once they had picked up the relevant supplies.
They did not return.
First man was of stocky build with dark short hair and a beard, wearing a blue puffa jacket and tracksuit bottoms.
The second was slim wearing a blue baseball cap, black top and grey tracksuit bottoms.
There is no description of the third man
PCSO Sue Keers, of Chester Local Policing Unit, asked anyone with information to contact Cheshire Police on101 quoting IML 599834.
