ALL lanes have reopened and traffic has returned to normal after lorry-load of beer cans spilt onto the road between Chester and North Wales during the morning rush hour.
The incident, which happened shortly after 8am on December 16, resulted in a full closure of the A494 Welsh Road Southbound from A540 Parkgate Road to Woodbank Junction (Shotwick / Birkenhead Turn Off).

The accident was affecting traffic heading from Chester (M56) into Wales and completely closed until around 9am when the second lane on Welsh Road was reopened.
Both lanes were reopened at around 11am after highways officers attended the scene to clear the debris and recover the lorry.
