TWO schools in Ellesmere Port have had to shut their doors for the day.
Cheshire West and Chester Council has confirmed The Oaks Community Primary School on Rochester Drive has shut on Monday, December 9, due to a "heating fault".
On the school's website, a statement reads: "We apologise that school is closed today due to a heating problem.
"We are hoping that school will be open tomorrow [Tuesday] and update you once we know.
"Thank you for being understanding."
Elsewhere, The Bridge Short Stay School in Appleton Drive has shut for the day.
A council spokesperson confirmed this was because of flooding in the upstairs area of the school.
