Two men have been arrested in connection with a shooting in Ellesmere Port on Saturday (November 30).
Police said both men, aged 26, have been arrested at separate addresses - one in the Merseyside area and the other in Cheshire - for firearms offences and are now in custody.
Searches are ongoing at several locations.
At 2.25pm on Saturday a man was shot in the leg on Enfield Road and taken to hospital where he remains in a stable condition.
