MEMBERS of the team behind the staging of the MBNA Chester Marathon visited a primary school to award a special trophy.
Pupils at Belgrave Primary School in Five Ashes Road were named Mini Marathon Marvels.
“The MBNA Chester Marathon was ten-years-old on October 6 and as part of our 10th edition celebrations we decided to offer the additional incentive of a school’s trophy given to the local primary school with the most entrants in our Mini Marathon,” said joint race organiser Chris Hulse.
“We are delighted that the MBNA Mini Marathon Marvels trophy was won by Belgrave Primary School with over 20 children taking part in the run around Chester racecourse.”
“We look forward to seeing other local schools rising to the challenge in 2020.”
