SIX men arrested as part of an investigation into more than 30 high-value burglaries at pubs, restaurants and retail stores have been charged.

Gary Platt, 42; Kieran Platt, 24; Joseph Salla, 19; Joshua Wilkinson, 22; Lee Hodkin, 33 and Peter Mighall, 45, were all arrested early on Thursday, November 7 after officers from Cheshire Constabulary executed warrants at seven at addresses in Wirral with support from Merseyside Police and the North West Regional Organised Crime Unit.

The men have subsequently been charged with conspiracy to commit burglary.

For Cheshire, the suspects were charged in connection with 14 burglaries other than a dwelling, three thefts from a motor vehicle and one burglary in a dwelling. These include incidents in Chester, Neston, Ellesmere Port, Helsby and Macclesfield.

In addition, the suspects have been charged in connection with 10 burglaries other than a dwelling, one theft from a motor vehicle and one burglary in a dwelling in the Wirral area.

Other incidents are alleged to have occurred in Staffordshire, Lancashire, Cumbria, North Wales, Dyfed Powys and West Mercia.

All six men have been remanded in police custody and are due to appear at Crewe Magistrates Court on Friday, November 8.
