FLOODING is causing delays to trains serving Chester this morning (Thursday, November 7).
Heavy rain has caused flooding issues on the line between Chester and Crewe.
Trains will need to run at a reduced speed as a consequence, with passengers warned that journey times could be increased by up to 15 minutes.

We anticipate disruption will continue until 14:00.
National Rail tweeted that normal services are not expected to be resumed before 2pm today.
Due to the issue, mutual ticket acceptance is in place between Transport for Wales and Virgin Trains via any reasonable route.
Merseyrail are currently accepting Virgin Trains tickets between Chester and Liverpool due to the delays.
