A VERY spooky Halloween market took place in Neston last week.
With guests invited to dress up in the spirit of things, the annual Halloween Market took place on Friday, November 1.
Youngsters had free face painting, decorated biscuits thanks to the Wooden Spoonful and completed craft activities provided by the Girl Guides while traders battled it out to win the best pumpkin.
Neston Mayor Cllr Dominic Roberts and deputy mayor Cllr Christine Warner were joined by their juniors as they judged the pumpkin carving competition.
The autumnal entry for ‘Rich Coffee’
First prize was awarded to The Great British Bakehouse, with Neston Fish & Seafoods coming second and Liverpool Cheese Company in third place.
Visitors enjoyed entertainment by 64'N Ukes who were using the day to raise cash for Help for Heroes.
The day was also a ‘Foodie Friday’ week and the market basement food hall was packed full of tasty treats to compliment the street food traders and regular food and other traders on the Market Square.
