TWO fundraising women have lost their locks at a Chester pub in aid of a worthy cause.

The Brave the Shave evening was held at The Cross Foxes pub in Boughton on Friday, November 1.

Katie Simon and Lucy Cartwright have been raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support for the past couple of months and had arranged with the pub's landlord, Gordon Evans, to hold the shave in his pub.

On the night they raised £440 and in total between them they have raised around £1,700!

In addition, Lucy has donated her hair.

They did a double shave and had hairdressers Kerry Sheen of Hair 77 and Natalee Gina of Abbots Wood Salon shaving their hair for them.

A spokesperson for the pub said: "It was a fantastic night and these ladies have done an incredible job for a very worthy cause."
