THE team at Chester-based holiday rental company Sykes Holiday Cottages has come together to support the West Cheshire Foodbank.
The firm hosted a week-long food drive ahead of World Food Day to collect hundreds of items most needed by the foodbank and those in crisis within the local community.
Food items donated included instant pasta and tinned goods as well as sweet treats and long-life milk.
Peter De Vere, human resources director at Sykes Holiday Cottages, said: “The team’s response to the drive has been brilliant. It’s great to be able to support the local community in this way by replenishing the foodbank’s stocks.
“This is just one of many charity initiatives we’re running this year and I hope it helps those most in need.”
