A STUNNING angel made from knives has arrived in Chester today.
The Knife Angel has been brought to the city to raise awareness of knife crime across the country.
The police are raising awareness to prevent knife crime in schools and places of education using the Knife Angel as a focus.
It was an impressive and thought-provoking spectacle as the Knife Angel was placed close to the west entrance of the cathedral this morning (Thursday, October 31).
The Knife Angel was created by the British Ironwork Centre, and sculptor Alfie Bradley, to illustrate the scale of the knife crime problem affecting the UK.
The 27 feet high sculpture is made from 100,000 bladed weapons collected in knife banks during police surrenders across the country.
Thank you to Paul Crofts for the photographs and video accompanying this story.

"Very privileged to have been in the right place at the right time this morning."
