FAMILIES, friends and veterans gathered at a Chester pub to help create a special 'Veteran Brew'.

Brewhouse & Kitchen Chester hosted the event, which paid homage to all service men and women that have fought for and served their country.

The new ‘Veteran Brew’ will be available the pub in November in the lead-up to Remembrance Day.

For every pint of the new veteran beer sold, the pub will also make a donation to the site's Veterans’ charity of choice.

The newly brewed beer will be presented at the brewpub on November 7 at a tapping party where everyone is invited to come and see the Veteran brewed beer being ‘tapped’ and to enjoy some free tasters.

Gail Bunn, marketing manager of Brewhouse & Kitchen, said: “We are really keen to play our part in commemorating Remembrance Day this year, and what better way than to brew a unique beer for this important event.

"It was great seeing veterans, the wider community and those with a connection to our armed forces spending time together in our brewpubs to remember and celebrate all those who have fought for our country.

"I am excited to see communities across the country come together to try the new ‘Veteran Brews’ which will be available throughout November to commemorate Remembrance Day this year.”
