A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon following a police pursuit through a Chester suburb which ended when a car hit a tree.
Police are treating the incident in Circular Drive, just off Lache Lane, as a crime scene and the road has been closed in both directions.
Several police cars were deployed to the scene at about 2pm on Wednesday, October 23.

A grey Alfa Romeo can be seen having hit a small tree, with an adjacent police vehicle.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Constabulary said: "Shortly before 2pm today (Wednesday, October 23) a car failed to stop for police in Lache Lane, Chester.
"A patrol car followed the car a short distance before the vehicle collided with a small tree in Lache Lane.
"The passenger, a man aged 28 from Chester, was arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon while another was detained at the scene. Enquiries are ongoing."
