THE award-winning Lion Salt Works Museum in Northwich will show ‘Patchwork Wonders’ on Wednesday, October 30.

This enchanting show brings a wonky, magical and dream-like world to life for children and a chance to go on a journey of discovery.

This genre-bursting mix of beatboxing and animation features jazz, hip hop and South Asian folk music.

Tickets to this performance cost £6.50 per adult; £4.50 for under 16-year olds and family tickets are also available.* The play, produced by The Stitch Brothers, is aimed at 5-8 year olds. Doors open at 10.30am for an 11am start and bookings can be made online at www.ticketsource.co.uk/cheshireruraltouringarts or by calling the museum on 01606 275066.

To celebrate Patchwork Wonders, the Lion Salt Works is also holding two drop-in, patchwork-inspired craft workshops for children over half term on Tuesday, October 29, and Wednesday, October 30, from 10.30am – 12.30pm and from 2pm- 4pm, costing £2 per child.

Councillor Louise Gittins, Leader of the Council and Cabinet Member for Wellbeing, Cheshire West and Chester Council, said: “The Lion Salt Works Museum has staged some wonderful performances and this playful and fun show promises to be another one that delights and entrances children.”

The play runs for 60 minutes (no interval) in the historic Thompson Suite. There is free parking onsite, access to the museum’s industrially-themed play area and a café.

The show is part of the Cheshire Rural Touring Arts - Autumn 2019 season. The Cheshire Rural Touring Arts (CRTA) is a network of villages across the Cheshire region with local volunteers who enjoy the challenge and excitement of choosing and staging high quality arts and entertainment events in their village halls and community centres as well as organising participatory arts events.
