A CHESTER man appeared in court today charged with attempted murder.
Paul Andrews, 61, from Alder Grove, Hoole, appeared at Chester Magistrates Court on Saturday (October 5).
The charge follows an investigation into the serious assault on a 57-year-old city man who remains in a critical but stable condition in hospital.
Police were called to Alder Grove at 3pm on October 3 following a report of a seriously injured man in the street.
A man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and has since been charged.
Following his court appearance on Saturday, Chester Magistrates Court confirmed to the Standard that Andrews made no indication of plea and will next appear before Chester Crown Court on November 4.
